Evil

A state of separation from God

The nature of sin is evil. Inversely, manifest evil is sin. Evil occurs when one commits sins. The committal of sin, which is evil, separates one from God. Whereas sin is the separating act, evil is the actual separation. Being spiritually dead because of one’s sinful state is the result of having not only rejected the gospel but ultimately our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.
